Looking for report on faith-based initiatives.
I am in the Midwest (heartland, bible belt, home of REAL Americans) and I have noticed construction projects with many churches. I am just curious if there has been a report published pertaining to how these organizations are spending their new found, taxpayer contributions. How is this money being spent? To help the poor and needy? Maybe construction of churches is helping the poor and needy. Maybe the poor and needy wouldn't be in their situation if they went to church (many fundies believe this). I am aware of a church that upgraded their sound system, multi-media capabilities. Were these upgrades paid for by the church's contribution only or did we help them out?

that a lot of this faith based give away is being misspent. There is zero accountability, which is just the way Bush like it.

BTW: Welcome to DU :hi:
