5. W's imepachment is EXACTLY what they should have called for
Edited on Thu Sep-18-03 07:51 AM by rocknation
Calling on the Pretzel-Dunce to fire his aides keeps him in control, absolves him from blame and turns him into a sympathetic victim of his handlers. If they don't want to say anything in terms of Georgie quitting, they shouldn't say anything. But they did do one thing right: calling for accountings of what he plans to do with the money AND of what he's done with the money that's already been spent. That made me REAL happy!

6. It really is worth your time to watch Murtha.
It is one of the most forceful and uncounterable presentations I have seen in many years. His knowledge and passion are what makes this so good.

He refuses to name names when pressed repeatedly by reporters, saying aWol should pick the head(s) to roll. But he insists on 'presidential advisors' who backed this calamity. When a reporter tries out Rumdum and Wolfman, Murtha steers him back 'The SecDef and Pentagon don't make policy'. Offered Rice, Murtha sez let Shrub decide.

With some of the other dem calls yesterday, it's almost like they're after Chaney!

8. watch the video
jeesh, do you want me to wipe your nose for you too? :D

They are calling on the White House to hold their advisors accountable for the mess in Iraq. Murtha (a decorated Viet Nam Vet) is giving an excelent lesson on how the white house screwed up. He is calling on them to roll some heads. He isn't an idiot, he is not going to say at this point that bush should resign. He is calling on Bush to fire the people responsible for the mess. In other words they are picking away at the BFEE.

10. It's about time!
Finally someone from the House is standing up against this misadministration and demanding answers.

However, I was not bashing Dems, I was bashing Pelosi, who until today has been a disappointment to say the least.

BTW: How did Murtha and/or Pelosi vote for/or against invading Iraq? I could look it up but I've got to get to work. Thanks.

Attack. Attack. Attack. Make Delay the Bugkiller look mellow. Look what being laid back cost us in 2000 and 2002.

9. What?
Could we be offering AWOL cover, like it is not his fault, he had bad advice? I hope not as Bush* is calling the shots and can't be let off the hook.

11. According to Dean's interview in Newsweek
for their cover story on him, he believes that Shrub doesn't really fully understand what's happening and that he's been influenced, or taken over, by the neocons. In my mind, that was him letting Shrub off the hook!

15. this is why the "democrats aren't doing anything" threads are such a bore
If they speak before the press and the press doesn't print anything they say, is it their fault?

16. hmmm
sounds like your complaints of Nader

Umm, why shouldnt the other party IN POWER be making these things happen? And you blame it on the press when they don't get their message across?

17. I too say
impeachment and jail time. Set the bar high that no one is above the law of the US. Isn't that what you want the Iraqi's to learn the proper foundation for a democracy. And while they are being carted off to jail pick up Janskowski(spelling correction needed) on the way.
