Bush, Cheney, Rumfilled, Condi have all come clean
about whether or not Iraq was involved in 9/11. Thanks for that. Too bad they couldn't have said that before the war. How stupid is this country? Dang it.

15. Actually, the article says the opposite of what you're saying re Cheney.
Bush "Backs away from Cheney remarks" -- that means Cheney did NOT come clean.

9. I am sure
we could come up with dozens of clips of him saying or implying Saddam was complicit in 9-11.

11. It was more subtle than that
I don't think you'll be able to find many, if any, quotes of misadministration officials saying, "Saddam did it."

But over, and over and over, they all said,

"9/11 blah blah blah ... Saddam"
"Saddam blah blah blah ... 9/11"
"Terrorist blah blah blah 9/11 blah blah blah ... Saddam"
"Saddam blah blah blah ... 9/11 ... terrorists "

Not to mention repeating the lie that Atta met w/ an Iraqi agent in Prague, or the Salman Pak story, or any of the other crap - doing everything they could to link 9/11, terrorism, Al-Quaeda, and Saddam in the public's mind.

They left the actual "Saddam did it" lies up to the wingnut press.

12. They slipped in another lie
Saying Saddam + Ansur Al Islam = al quaeda (spelling:) sorry)
The Al Islam group was in Iraq that was NOT controlled by Saddam.
I heard bush say saddam was involved with them and this is another LIE.

16. I finally figured out WHY they "came clean"
Because the sheeple are just now catching on to the fact that Bush & Co. are liars.

Rove must have done some focus groups and 9 out of 10 people said that they thought Bush was a liar. AND what all the talking heads say IS true: "The reason people like George Bush is because they trust him" "They think he's a straight shooter. That's his strong suit."

THAT is the ONLY thing he has and if he loses that - people will turn on him like there is no tomorrow.

So Rove must have figured that it was better for people to get angry that we went to war in Iraq for no good reason rather than to get angry at Bush & Co. for being a pack of liars.

But - it is WAAY too late for that - too many people have figured that out - and they can't put the cat back in the bag.
