Where Are The G**D D**n Embedded Reporters Now?
Hunh! Where the f**k are they now? They sent them over there for the "mission accomplished" bullshit, and pulled 'em out before the war started.

We told them this would happen. Did they listen? NOOOOOoooo.

I recently read a story that claims that Saddam suckered us on the amount of oil in Iraq as well as the wmds.

:argh:

2. suckered us?
Oh, sure, Saddam couldn't wait for us to kick him out of his own country and murder his 2 sons and 1 grandchild. What are these loonies up to? Cheney goes on FTN and recycles all the old garbage, and then Rumsbutt and Shillboy come out right after to disclaim the Saddam link to al Qaida.

5. Saddam suckered us on the amount of oil?
Is that likely? Wouldn't most of the exploration/extraction companies be American or European?

I've seen the allegations too, but I'm not sure they make sense. Any oil folks here? (snorts to self: yeah, riiiiight, oil folks on DU)

6. Before you choke on that snort
Such beasts do inhabit this site. :hi:

And no, the reserves were not "exagerated by Saddam".

Examination of core samples, seismic data and calculations by reservoir engineers using data from existing wells can give the industry a good sense of what reserves are there.

Saddam didn't make reserve estimates. If he had, who would have believed him as a lay person?

Those estimates were made by industry in years past.

8. Cool!
:hi:

That 'exaggerated by Saddam' thing didn't make sense. But damn little about this war has.

Thanks for the confirmation.
