The Roving mind...
Edited on Thu Sep-18-03 08:59 PM by TruthIsAll

It's obvious. We can't recover. The ratings freefall cannot be reversed. Even another 911 won't do it. Neither will another war. We just can't expect that demonizing the Dem like we did Gore will be enough this time. We can't expect it to come down to another SCOTUS decision, either.

We are going to lose. No question. It will be the biggest blowout in history. Seems to me we have only one choice: we better get those machines certified and installed in all the key states, especially FL, CA,MN, OH, MO, TN, PA, IL, AK. We better make sure we do not drop too far in the polls. Our friends in the media will see to it. And we had better move toward the center. We will become the peace party and just pull out of Iraq. Let Lieberman and Biden and the rest become the new PNAC imperialists by saying we can't leave now. Let's raise taxes. No drilling in Alaska. We can always reverse course after we win.

And as much as I hate say it, we have to get Colin as VP.

Most of all, lets make sure that VNS stays out of it - again. We should meet with our friends at Diebold - ASAP. There are a number of things we can do. We can set up insiders to rig the machines locally by using preprogrammed cards. We can get the hackers to do it remotely via wireless modems. Finally, we must make sure that our database servers keep three sets of totals, like they did in Georgia. It will be a massive undertaking, but we have no choice. We only need to get away with it once. Postponing the recall may be a blessing; it gives us more time to get rid of those punch-card machines and prove how much better our touch-screens are. Heheheh.

It all comes down to that damn voter-verified paper trail. We can't allow it. Otherwise we are toast, as they say at DU. By the way, we must continue to monitor that site. Between DU and Google, we have been marginalized. No one believes Fox or CNN or Msnbc. We can't rely on them anymore. The people know it's all bullshit.

2. Exactly
On DU1 I had a thread about Republicans have only one thing: Lies. They can't win ANYthing -- legislation or elections -- unless they lie. And cheat, of course.

Good post.

3. I think they already have the vote stealing in place...
...all lined up in the software. I think they've decided on the states they'll cheat and it's all in the can ready to roll.
