Robert F. Kennedy JR Endorses John Kerry
Edited on Thu Sep-18-03 11:13 PM by sandnsea
If this is a dupe sorry, I missed it. But I am STOKED!!!

“I am proud to endorse one of America’s great environmental leaders, John Kerry, for President of the United States,” said Robert F Kennedy, Jr. “And I hope that every American who cares about the environment will unite behind John Kerry. He is the candidate with the best environmental record. He is the candidate with the best ability to beat George Bush. And he will be a President who will give us the environmental leadership we so clearly need.”

Edit added Jr., sorry, too excited

2. good for Kerry
I really don't know what the best strategy is for saving the dem party from Dean. I think the first thing that should happen is Graham run for reelection to the senate, and he could run for vp simultaneously(legally and politically possible) in the event Kerry is nominated for pres.

I wish Gephardt would also drop out(preferably to run against Bond for senate), although I know that he won't drop out till late winter at earliest.

3. RFK Jr. was on Larry King the other day--I was shocked.
No Anne Coulter or other rightwing whackos like Larry usually has.

Anyway, RFK, Jr. was very bright and spoke passionately about the destruction of our environment. Bush has laid waste to the countryside, ours and others, as Resident.

5. RFK Jr is a heck of a guy! Should head the EPA...
... if we had an honest government. RFK Junior has done more for clean water than just about anyone, suing polluters on behalf of communities. Should Kerry be elected, he would make a heck of an EPA chief.

6. You bet he would!!!
I can't think of anyone better. I just really respect his dedication on the environment. And not just as a "save the prettiness" sort of thing, but really going into poor areas and exposing the evilness of the way these polluters operate. He's also calling for an investigation into the 9/11 air quality, which is mentioned in the linked press release. That story isn't going away!

7. yes he would
never thought about it but he would. although he seems more like the activist type who would want more freedom and not get caught up with government position. but i do think he would make a good one if he wanted. al gore would too.

8. RFK, JR. would also make a great VP or AG or Chief Justice
Whoever gets the nomination, we should suggest he or she appoint Kennedy.
