True! There really is no leftist party in the U.S. Some are left-leaning, but a true left? The country is so far right that some of the candidates may look left-ish, but in Europe and even in Canada there is a vibrant left that just doesn't exist in the U.S. Too bad, because it would make things a lot more interesting, IMO.

Damn I'm no Fan of Holy Joe, but give me a break. The man has a back bone and he is very clear about how he feels and his views. I don't like a few of his positions, but the man is in no way even close to a republican.

I didn't mind voting for him as VP, but his position on Separation of Church and State made me uneasy. He's moved even further toward denying me freedom from religion since then.

But I never, ever would have imagined he'd be enthusiastic about a terrible war like this one. I can understand the others voting for it because they were misled, but he's still enthusiastic about it. Even with all we now know.

Believe it or not, his voting record is still one of the most progressive amongst democrats.

That being stated, I honestly believe him to be most useful to this nation and its people, by continuing his service as a State Representative. He will not recieve my support for the Democratic presidential nomination
