Poll question: Dean's votes in Congress
How do people think Dean voted on the Patriot Act and Iraq War Resolution?

1. Huh?
Is this a freeper poll to insult the people on this website?

Or are you serious? Not accusing you of anything, just not sure where this is coming from.

6. I've seen it
I've seen two posts today discussing Dean's vote on the war.

3. A little advice
Edited on Fri Sep-19-03 01:40 PM by AWD
Maybe change the word "voted" to "would have voted if he had the opportunity"....that might help with your glaring semantics issue.

on edit - Yes, I know you're aware of the semantics....otherwise you would not have put the final choice on your poll. Well done.

9. I apologize for my rudeness
I am sorry, and mods please punish me in any way appropriate, but after seeing the second post on Dean's vote on the war, I lost it.

Maybe the people who chose the wrong answers will tell me they did it to humiliate me. I'd rather that than think that kind of mistake is being made here.

11. I edited my post
When I first wrote it, I wasn't clear enough....I caught your point, but the way I wrote my post didn't express that.

15. And the only other Senator with Feingold against the Patriot Act, too, huh
That's what he'd like us to believe. He'd have made it a whopping two to stand against this at a time of recriminating panic. Yep. Sure.

I don't buy it for a second. Period.

7. None of the above
That's why his big bit of being against the war doesn't really mean much. After all, it's not at all like the case of Dennis Kucinich who actually led the Progressive caucus to oppose the war. As well, now he thinks he needs a Lyndon Johnson moment, so he's ready to stay in Iraq. DK is the only candidate who both opposed the war and wants the US out of Iraq.

18. Dean spoke out in public against the war -- unlike most Dems ...
(Kucinich excepted). It was a bright spot for those of us protesting. I meant quite a lot -- and will mean more when he's sworn in as president.

8. I propose
that a poll premised on lies not be allowed. Dean was never in congress. That should be enough to invalidate this poll.

13. just leave the poll as is, it will expose those who do not know what
is going on in the Dem debate over the war.

14. I think the point that he is trying to make
Is there are a lot of registered users here who do not know what they are talking about.

16. Although, in fairness
81.6% answered the question correctly, and I suspect that number will go up.

17. I will admit, I voted as a JOKE.
So sue me. I did it because I think it's funny how people "know" how Dean would have voted.

So at least of the "for both" votes was mischief, not ignorance.

21. I vote in every poll I see here
I never vote more than once and never do I work mischief.
Some things should always be taken seriously.
