Poll question: If the Brits won the Revolutionary War, Would the Continental Congress be
Known as Terrorists?

They were shocked when we changed the rules of war and started going after officers.

3. Yes, but no...
...they would have been called seditionists and hanged for treason. So they'd be treated and reviled the way we treat and revile terrorists, but they wouldn't be terrirsts in the modern sense (attacking "soft" (civilian) targets).

5. As a matter of fact, the British were quite beside themselves
because of the tactics used by the Continentals and the Minute Men

1. The Minute Men had a nasty habit of hiding behind rock walls and other things that made it hard to hit them. They didn't always stand in a line making a nice easy target. Down right uncricket of them.

2. Both the Continentals and the Minute Men intentionally aimed at officers. Savage.

3. The Minute Men often used tactics developed by Robert Rogers during the French and Indian war. By the American Civil war, these tactics would be refined and come to be known as "Guerilla Warfare."

7. Succinctly said...
The actions were "ungentlemanly" and bso far beyond the norm of the day that while the word "terrorist" may not have been used, the attitude would be the same.

(IMHO)

8. Actually, there is a difference.
The British really believed that these actions were unconscionable because they were, in fact, beyond the norm of the day.

We cannot really say that we find the actions of the Iraqi guerrillas unconscionable, since they are using the same tactics that we taught to the Afghani "Freedom Fighters" back in the eighties.

6. No
They would go straight to words like "Traitors" and wouldn't have to go further. After all, the rebels were all British subjects.
