a flame-free, non-finger-pointing, simple, neutral F.Y.I.
now I'm not saying any of this is happening here, nor am I calling anyone out, but I thought this item might deserve a re-posting, if only to increase awareness:

4. Jebus, what a business.
I'd heard about operatives being paid by short-sellers to post bad shit about stocks on stock message boards.

I know there are freepers that post at DU, both obvious disrupters and the more damaging stealthy ones.

But I never considered a group being PAID to disrupt message boards. Hell, maybe THAT'S what I should do for a career: disrupt Freeper boards and bash Bush.

22. One of many
scarcasm aside...but I suggested that this stuff was going on weeks ago...
Of course...if you had an issue or a candidate or a product...wouldn't you...

SONY paid folks to pretend to be tourists in amusement parks/entertainment centers and do the old, 'can you take my picture' to introduce a subsidiaries digital cameras...

There 'focus' groups came back that digitals were 'scary' to people and so they decided to put them in the hands of the 'rubes' to show how 'simple it was'

Haven't you ever had a person come up to you in a mall and ask, 'Just shopping?'
