Firstly of the whole concept of a no-fly zone was past its prime years ago. Saddam had no functional airforce. In my opinion the only reason we were there was target practice on his SAM sites.
The United States will be in Iraq for years and years in a country that in many respects is just as rich in Islamic culture as much of Saudi Arabia, so is the threat in regards to terrorism and insulting muslims any less?
The only possibility for the United States getting out of the Middle East is a complete withdrawl from Iraq(unlikely) removal of the 5th fleet from Bahrain(impossible), Removal of support fucntions in Quatar, UAE, Kuwait and where ever else we have left our imperial footprint. So in closing does the removal of American troops from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia really make a difference?
