Howard Stern says "buy Ford" in response to boycott.
Talk about a boycott backfiring. Stern is very influential with his audience. He called it a free commercial for Ford, and praised their support of equal rights.

1. What boycott?
I guess it's a really effective one. I never heard of it.

But that new Mustang GT is really cool. isn't it?

9. Right On!
That's a great parallel. Whenever I read stories like that, I think about KKKarl's reelection tag line, "Out of the mainstream." I met Bill Ford, Jr. back in January. As an environmentalist, I despise his company for what it has done on the issue of fuel economy. That being said, considering that they usually take their cues from Exxon, it's refreshing that they're waking up to the 21st Century with regard to some of their employee benefits!

14. The Escape Hybrid Is A Good Step
but it should have been released YEARS ago!

Starting in the 1980's, when the Escort became the best-selling car in the world, Ford made a diesel version available in the United Kingdom because taxes on that fuel are lower than petrol. That version got 60mpg+! Naturally, it sold very well. Was that ever available stateside? Not to my knowledge. More disturbing facts are available at:

6. Why are they boycotting Ford?
And dollars for donuts they're wandering into Wal-Mart weekly and filling their carts with China-made trinkets and loading the bags into their vehicle adorned with American flags.

7. Was Stern Helpful Last Year?
No knock on Stern and his shtick...and his very loyal audience, but I don't see the KOAM really having that much impact these days. Many of us hoped that his support of Kerry and Democrats last year would help bring in more 18-34 and specifically 18-34 MALE votes. It didn't.

Personally, I enjoy listening to Howard talk politics now and then, but the second he goes into his other "locker room" stuff, I'm off to another station. He's been on the right side of most issues, but I think his impact is highly over-rated.

10. This ought to get at least 2 mil more voters out against the RW in 2006
These people are just plain nuts. Boycotting against civil rights, demonizing a true war hero (Kerry), praising rank, evil criminals in high office (Nixon, Bush I and Bush II).
