He is seeing the writing on the wall with this bunch of criminals - he is trying to get the right reporter off his sorry arse and get to the business of reporting!

nation to take a hard look at the fact that they cannot serve two masters. You serve the nation OR you follow the orders of the criminals who are destroying it.

He seems to be begging for people of conscious to act on it instead of remaining Good Germans and failing their oaths.
