Dear Future Deep Throat (I Promise you a new name)
Edited on Wed Jun-01-05 01:16 PM by lala_rawraw
Since we no longer have a mainstream media or a mainstream grasp on reality and since you would be bound to an oath of duty, not and oath of loyalty, I urge your to come forward and contact me.

I watched Pat Buchanan speak of "honor" and "loyalty", serving at the "pleasure of the president". Do we have a king? Do you take a vow of loyalty that supersedes your vow of duty to us, the citizens, to the Constitution, to this country?

I know you are there, somewhere, whispering to yourself: "the horror, the horror". I know the guilt weighs on your soul. I know you see the faces of the tortured and beg for God's forgiveness. I know that you see our American elderly be stripped of their dignity and beg for a reprieve from the collective and brutal honesty that history provides in judging us all.

I know you see lies for profit at the cost of so many dear American lives and minds, left fractured because they cannot make 2+2=5.

You come home and you drink, you cannot look at your children. Everything is smeared with the bile of greed. You know the truth. You know you cannot live with what you know. You know your children will inherit this world, which you helped to create. You know this. Silence is not an option nor is loyalty to a person and/or group over your duty to your country and its people.

If you are afraid, then welcome to reality. We are all afraid. All of us. Are you afraid for your life? Well we are all afraid. All of us.
Are you afraid for your children? We are all afraid. All of us.

What I ask is that you stand behind the Constitution, behind this country, and behind the people forced into this nightmare. What I ask, in short, is that you simply do your duty. If you will not speak, then the guilt is your to carry and no God in heaven or in nature will forgive your silence. You consent with your silence. Your consent is your guilt. Make a choice and do your duty.

We, the citizens of the country, beg you to.

35. Friend wound up dead after writing anti-Bush book, documents
http://www.onlinejournal.com/Special_Reports/Hatfield-R-091901/hatfield-r-091901.html

This was James Hatfield's last article, written 2 weeks before he was found in a hotel room in July 2001. I was in Thailand at the time; my mom told me that the papers reported his death was a suicide but I immediately voiced my skepticism. I knew this man and his family for several years. The only way he would have committed suicide is if a threat had been placed on his family...a 'mercy killing' of sorts.

I'm still shaken over this incident. This is a very vindicitve administration and everyone knows it. I certainly hope we have more 'Deep Throat' folks out there, but when you do come forward with your information be sure to watch your back.

Edited on Wed Jun-01-05 02:15 PM by BurtWorm
That's the only way to get the media to pay attention to you. They will be forced to pay attention to the information and will not be able to assassinate your character and speculate on your motives until you choose to let them. And let that be when your information has accomplished what it must accomplish.

24. Yes-
Yes, the "future deep throat" has to stay anonymous and keep the ability to feed information to the press. If his identity is found out, then the powers that be know who to attack.

The "old deep throat" we know now was FBI - he knew how to communicate covertly and stay unknown.

34. MUST SEE: Voter Confidence Resolution
http://guvwurld.blogspot.com/2005/04/voter-confidence-resolution.html

Voter Confidence Resolution
(v6.1, LAST UPDATED: 5/16/05 9pm)

Whereas an election is a competition for the privilege of representing the people; and

Whereas each voter is entitled to cast a single ballot to record his or her preferences for representation; and

Whereas the records of individual votes are the basis for counting and potentially re-counting a collective total and declaring a winner; and

Whereas an election's outcome is a matter of public record, based on a finite collection of immutable smaller records; and

Whereas a properly functioning election system should produce unanimous agreement about the results indicated by a fixed set of unchanging records; and

Whereas recent U.S. federal elections have been conducted under conditions that have not produced unanimous agreement about the outcome; and

Whereas future U.S. federal elections cannot possibly produce unanimous agreement as long as any condition permits an inconclusive count or re-count of votes; and

Whereas inconclusive counts and re-counts have occurred during recent U.S. federal elections due in part to electronic voting devices that do not produce a paper record of votes to be re-counted if necessary; and

Whereas inconclusive results have also been caused by election machines losing data, producing negative vote totals, showing more votes than there are registered voters, and persistently and automatically swapping a voter's vote from his or her chosen candidate to an opponent; and

Whereas inconclusive results make it impossible to measure the will of the people in their preferences for representation; and

Whereas the Declaration of Independence refers to the Consent of the Governed as the self-evident truth from which Government derives "just Power";

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

Because inconclusive results, by definition, mean that the true outcome of an election cannot be known, there is no basis for confidence in the results reported from U.S. federal elections; and

Be it also resolved:

The following is a comprehensive election reform platform likely to ensure conclusive election results and create a basis for confidence in U.S. federal elections:
1) voting processes owned and operated entirely in the public domain, and
2) clean money laws to keep all corporate funds out of campaign financing, and
3) a voter verified paper ballot for every vote cast and additional uniform standards determined by a non-partisan nationally recognized commission, and
4) declaring election day a national holiday, and
5) counting all votes publicly and locally in the presence of citizen witnesses and
credentialed members of the media, and
6) equal time provisions to be restored by the media along with a measurable increase in local, public control of the airwaves, and
7) presidential debates containing a minimum of three candidates, run by a non-partisan commission comprised of representatives of publicly owned media outlets, and
8) preferential voting and proportional representation to replace the winner-take-all system for federal elections;
Be it further resolved:

When elections are conducted under conditions that prevent conclusive outcomes, the Consent of the Governed is not being sought. Absent this self-evident source of legitimacy, such Consent is not to be assumed or taken for granted.

21. Calling the corporate media's bluff -- Clint Curtis and Sherole Eaton
This is an email I just sent to Tim Russert with "Meet the Press" and to NBC's Today Show, after watching a nauseating display this morning. If I hear back, I will let you know.
------
To Tim Russert and Tom Brokaw:

This morning, I turned on TV briefly (to catch the weather report, since we really need rain here in Tennessee) and I heard the two of you discussing the self-outing of "Deep Throat" yesterday. At the end of your on-air discussion, you said "If there's another Deep Throat out there, give us a call, won't you. We're waiting for your call."

Yeah, bullshit. For the past eight months, thousands of people have been sending you information on the 2004 stolen election and you've been ignoring it like a burning herpes sore on your anus when your wife asks you why you just can't sit still. So here's one more attempt to call your bluff. How about contacting Clint Curtis and Sherole Eaton, both of whom have very important stories to tell about the 2004 election theft, and neither of whom is hiding anything (including their identities).

Clint Curtis has testified under oath numerous times and has taken a polygraph test (which he passed) saying that he was hired by Tom Feeney (now a Republican Congressman from Florida and the chief beneficiary of Tom DeLay's largess) to create a software program to hack electronic voting machines (and throw the elections) in south Florida. Sherole Eaton has been fired as an elections official in Ohio after going public with an affidavit saying that a Triad employee (another electronic voting equipment vendor) had tampered with the vote tabulating equipment in her county (including replacing the hard drive) before the sham recount occurred there. Once again, neither of these brave Americans have hidden their identities or their stories. But they may as well have, for all the attention that you and the rest of the corporate media has given their stories since they went public.

So don't fool yourselves, because you certainly are not fooling us. There are no more Woodwards and Bernsteins left in the corporate media, only patriotism-deficient reporters competing to out-trivialize "Access Hollywood" on the evening (non) news. If you had an ounce of journalistic curiosity or patriotic relevance left, you would write Clint Curtis immediately (his email is above) and arrange an on-camera interview tomorrow. Or you would contact Bob Fitrakis with the Columbus Free Press (whose email address is also above) to conduct an interview with Ms. Eaton -- I am sure he would be happy to arrange it right away. If you don't do those things, stop kidding yourself that you are American journalists in the Woodward/Bernstein tradition any more than the "hot military stud" whose presence in OUR White House press corps was another quickly forgotten and barely covered story. Your self-imposed castration says more about your fear or fawning flirtatiousness with this illegitimate regime which has captured our country than anything that you and your bloated cohorts have revealed in quite some time.

"Deep Throat, call us -- we're waiting." Waiting for what -- to put Clint and Sherole on indefinite hold, where they can listen to Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" played ad nauseum until the shuttle service to Gitmo comes to pick them up. Shame on you folks -- your on-camera hubris is only matched by your irrelevance these days.

So get in touch with Clint and Sherole or stop pretending you do anything of value for this country. Hurry along now, there's another celebrity doing something else nauseating enough to keep us distracted while our votes are stolen and our democracy is smothered under a Paris Hilton-scented pillow. If you're what passes for journalists these days, we don't need no steenkin' journalists. At least not ones who cash GE checks. Most assuredly,

Bernie Ellis, Organizer
Gathering To Save Our Democracy

38. Well...
What we need is someone "inside" to pour out. Individuals coming out as whistle blowers end up gagged or smeared.

The point is we need an anti-Buchanan in the "house". He spent the last few days making me hate him far more than I thought possible. I mean really, can we please consider what he was saying?

1). Loyalty to president
2). People owed president their careers
3). At the pleasure of the president
4). He knew about the Segretti operation, but not the names (right) or how big it was (right.

In other words, Buchanan is proud to have been a loyalist and that means he intentionally hid criminal activity? Why is Buchanan not in jail I wonder?

So, to the Reluctant member(s) of the Bush Junta: Please follow your conscience. You know that this isn't right. You know things have never been this bad, and that this is the most secretive White House in Modern history. Please help us save our democracy. It's unheard of for people to tell the truth in this city, but that;s what we need.

We need a hero on the inside to expose the rot, before things get much much worse.

39. We don't need the MSM... we just
Need the grassroots delivery mechanism for the journalists who are working in the line of fire.

Make a list of journalists you respect and recommend for the future deep throat to approach.

The people can take the story and spread it within nano-seconds.

As for going to bloggers first (someone mentioned this somewhere), I would say not. You guys know how I feel about the voice of the people and how I do not support it being subjected to restrictions. Also, I have concerns over 1st amend. rights at this point.

So let's make a list for our future hero and legend to approach.

The UK memo is a hot topic now, but we all know there are many many others (9/11 and Sibel, Gitmo and A.G. abuse, growing fascism and the PNAC gestapo, the Bush dynasty and it's shady past, and on and on and on.....).

But exploding any of those first would only serve to distract attention from the most important control they have to keep Republicans in office.

I'm also still writing and working as much as I can for VOTER VERIFIED PAPER BALLOTS! It's the one huge issue we should be screaming out, printing out, and coming entirely together over...

Those who will finally make the break will be much younger than DT and the young will need even more protection because they will have nothing left for them in this country if they can even remain alive! There are likely many serving in the military at this moment who would have something to say but have to fear for their lives while in any precarious position! That is old history for the military!
