Donna Brazile called for a voter-verified paper ballot
Someone asked her about Ohio and she went through a laundry list of all the problems, then called for comprehensive voting reform, including vvpb plus assurance that the machines accurately reflect the votes cast.

So the word is out there rumbling around the higher echelon of the Democratic Party.

9. What's up with Donna? Last summer she's a weak-voiced,
DINO before the elections and now she's turned back into a gracefully forceful advocate for fair elections.

What is she? Cybil?

10. Boi hawdi!
Yeah, I used to think of her as the queen simpering simpleton, although now I'm convinced she is capable of flashes of brilliance, in rigidly controlled circumstances, with adequate preparation. A tactical logician she is not.
As a "liberal" foil for the stream of fascist flappers, she is in danger of being replaced by a barely legible multiple choice survey form. That being said, bless her heart, she is a good person, strong and focused of loyalty and values and I would be enormously gratified to know her better.
The place she does not belong is as DNC spokeshead and anything demanding, as it does now, the aggressive intellect and character of a Sen. Reid, the heart and spirited clarity unique to Howard Dean as well an the eclecticism of freshman Obama.
The continued insistence by CNN that she is somehow representative of the progressive majority is a none too subtle slap at the Independence of mind of most of us.

4. Do you suppose when we win back Congress in 06
we can get an investigative committee in the House and the Senate, with subpoena power, to look into the 2004 election heist?

7. Well....
Speaking just for myself here, and I'm not a political strategist, just an interested/aware/observer/activist voter...

If we want this, I think our best chance for getting it would be to work on potential candidates way ahead of time. Get involved in the party, locally and state-wide, get to know the folks who are planning to run, talk to them about this and make your support contingent on their commitment to this. Don't let up on them and work hard for them if they'll promise to do it. Then keep on pressuring them when they win.

And pressure them for comprehensive voter reform to that it never happens again.

Just my thoughts...

8. She grew up in the Pricilla Owen's judicial district
Said it's the poorest in the nation, there is NO WAY Priscilla Owen should be on the federal judicial bench
