Galloway was confident that massively opposed public opinion would stop an attack from taking place, unless a staged terror attack carried out by the military industrial complex and blamed on Iran was carried out. -snip-

ever did an in-depth study on these dates. The 911 date is obvious why the date was picked. But what if that was coincidence too? I remember some 'election' result numbers were about to come out on the 2000 election questioning the validity or something, then boom 911. Galloway also said they're weak (Bush/Blair) and need to keep them that way. As long as they are weak they can't fully do their plans. I still wonder if they're going to do something. A US invasion of Iran would be monstrously stupid.

Putting aside (if possible) the moral implications (such a move would result in an astounding loss of human life), the military logic for an Iran invasion is fatally flawed. Iraq has 26 million people. Iran has 68 million. Iraq is fertile ground for a Sunni-Shiite civil war. Iran has no similar internal conflict. It is almost all Shiite.

Sure, Iranians dislike their mullahs. But they are intensely patriotic. I can't think of a more efficient way to unite them than forcing them to face a common enemy.

The US has been unable to subdue Iraq. How in Gods name do our "fearless leaders" expect to win in Iran?

If there's a silver lining around this very dark cloud, it's the hope that any US military action against Iran would result in the trial and imprisonment of all those responsible for the current administrations fanatical neocon agenda.
