I think everyone needs to calms down.

An awful lot of people have genes which are predetermined to indicate criminal tendencies, alcholism, heart disease, and bad temperament. The truth is, that your genetic makeup is probably closer to average than you think! Employers are generally looking for an indictation that that you won't cost them a ton of money in health care costs, and rightly so! Having a predisposition to alcholism, heart disease, addiction, cancer, and criminal tendencies make you look a lot less attractive to an employer. Please pre-screen your children in-vitro so they avoid these problems, and get some 'genetic counseling' for yourself while you are at it!

"Metabolic Syndrome" - where high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high glucose are simultaneously present. And there are so many inconsistent genetic markers, , Endocrinology, Vol. 143, (6, June 2002), pages 2012-2018 that either everybody is genetically predisposed to "Metabolic Syndrome" or practically nobody is. And, we know epidemiologically, that we have a pandemic of "Metabolic Syndrome" - igh blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high glucose.

Besides, I think genetic screening as an employment/promotion factor is a clear "Big Bucks Damages and Injunction" violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act -- just waiting for the right Eliot Spitzer wannabe to bring the right law suit. ;)
