How long do we stay and fight and when do we just give it up and leave?
Most people who immigrated here from other countries felt a sense of hopelessness in their own homelands and decided to make a fresh start in America.

Since the things that made us a beacon to the rest of the world for so long are being destroyed and turned into a sick cynical joke in front of our very eyes...and we can't even get all of the people who are supposed to be on our side to acknowledge the depth and degree of the corruption (election fraud, etc.)...and NOBODY seems to really know what to do about it, because all the strategizing and money raising in the world doesn't mean a damn if we can get our people registered and get them to the polls and get them to wait in lines for 10-12-14hrs. and then can't make sure that they will even be ALLOWED to vote or even IF they are finally able to cast a vote, that it will actually be COUNTED.

The only way for this to change is if Republicans support it and of course they won't because they know they can't win if the will of the people is ACTUALLY CARRIED OUT. They know they are selling something that most people won't want if they know the truth about what they're buying.

So, how long do we stay in a fixed fight when the only people who have the power to make it right are the one's who benefit from the fraud and they have no intention of giving up power?

1. Would you rather be a living dog or a dead lion?
As the old saying goes. Or to put it another way, I'm not going to stop fighting ever. I see no reason to, because if I did stop fighting and walked off the court I'd always have to live with knowing that I gave up. And I don't want to do that.

I'm not judging anybody else's choices. For one thing I haven't got any kids, so that could influence the way I look at this issue.

2. well, I've already given up...
My nerves just won't take it - I've been sick off and on since
November, so we're moving to Europe at the end of the summer.
I don't consider it really surrendering or abandoning the
field of battle, more like a strategic retreat to restore my
strength and establish a stronghold for other people to use as
a haven in emergencies. At least if a draft starts, all of my
nieces and nephews will have someplace to move immediately...

4. Good move - arachide
Where the hell is everybody?

Bush steals the first election then steals a second election.

People have an obligation to their family and other peace loving people regardless of nationality, race or religion - not to a country.

5. my nerves are shot too...
I guess I'm too emotional about stuff, sensitve or whatever, but the more I pay attention to what's happening, the greater my depression, sense of hopelessness, etc. If I have to keep myself ignorant of what's going on in order to function from day to day, it may be time to just bail out...

3. Raygun was the one to get me to thinking
I was born in Spain, went to the States, got fed up, left and I am glad I did.

Raygun was the one to get me to thinking. I foresaw the greed and craziness of America. I later said adios and I am glad I did.

My kids can go to school without me worrying about some idiot firing shots.

My neighbors really care about my well-being.

It not just money and mindless commercialism where I live.

You got a nut case for a President.
Too much violence caused by this clown.

I suggest you leave and let the crazies take over.

This is not the America I once knew.

La via del tren subterranio es peligroso. (I memorized that line off a poster on the E-train in NYC 40 years ago. Do I still have it right)?

I was born there and am delighted to be living elsewhere as the place of my birth has become unrecognizable other than on such oases as this site.

7. What this administration fails to remember
is that this country is strong because of the very things they are taking away.
Besides, do you actually think any of these chickenhawk pugs are gonna send THEIR kids to fight their hero's war?
Of course not.
They want to send YOUR kid.

8. If I leave....
this really strong country is definitely going to be weakened - I'm one of the really bright ones that invents things and makes the world a better place. I leave, and then provide a safe haven for about a dozen potential draftees - definitely negative for the oppressive powers that be. Sometimes you can gather better resources to fight from a distance. But to each his own - I feel better knowing that some people are going to carry on the fight right here.
