8. This is the S_I_N_G_L_E most important issue to resolve before 2006.

Nothing else will matter. If we do not have a free and fair election in 2006, the imperious reign of Bush terror will be ensconced for a long, long time.

This is the issue that should bring people out into the streets in front of our Congress members' offices.

Demand nothing less than:

1. Voting with a pen and a paper ballot, marking an "X" in the box by the preferred candidate's name.

2. The ballots are hand counted at the precinct at the close of the polling hours.

3. The counting is witnessed by multiple observers.

4. The vote totals are signed off on and then phoned or faxed in to the Secretary of State's office.

5. The Presidential race should be on a separate ballot from the state/local races. A blue ballot for the Presidential race. A yellow ballot for the state/local races. Voter places his marked blue ballot into a blue ballot box. Voter places his marked yellow ballot into a yellow ballot box.


6. The use of all electronic, mechanical, optical scan equipment to cast a vote or tally the votes is expressly prohibited.

10. It certainly IS the most important issue

to be resolved before 2006, but have you noticed???? The DEMOCRATS NEVER talk about it???? Ever! Have the repukes convinced them that it's a conspiracy theory or what? I honestly don't get it. It is now JUNE, 2005. What the hell are they waiting for?

14. This is also what frustrates me the most.

We've called; we've written; we've e-mailed; we've faxed; we've crunched numbers; we've pointed out the historical reliance on exit polling to assess the accuracy of the outcome; we've peacefully demonstrated; Conyers' investigation and official documentation on the Ohio election debacle...


It reminds me of a herd of spooked cattle, each cutting their eyes around to each other, too paralyzed to move until one brave leader charges off in the direction of safety. Only then will the rest of the herd follow. I think it's going to take a unified group led by Harry Reid and Barbara Boxer and Nancy Pelosi and John Conyers standing on the steps of the Capitol, refusing to do any more business until WE THE PEOPLE are guaranteed free and fair elections.

The window for these changes is closing fast. And then, it will be decades, if ever, that this country will ever regain the vision of America that our forefathers intended.

12. On number two, I would add that the ballots be counted twice,

once by Republican officials and twice by Democratic officials. This brings it in the realm of double entry for the totals. Single entry invites fraud even with everything out in the open.
