The problem with America is that ANYONE can be President
That was the bumper sticker on the back of a car I was behind on the way back to the office today. Car looked like a freeper vehicle, old Taurus station wagon with huge rust spots and bondo on some. Guy driving it hat to be 70 with what appeared to be a "John Deere" cap on and it had NH plates. Flag sticker on the window. I'm staring at it and thinking Jeez, no W sticker. And that's when I saw the one listed above. Cool Guy.

1. Great bumper sticker
It's almost like this quote I found a couple years ago ...

When I was a boy I was told that anybody could become President; I'm beginning to believe it.
-- Clarence Darrow

4. Darrow could have been talking about Cal Coolidge, another Giant.
And a Republican. Why is every other Repub Prez clearly a defective or just plain nutz? It's a long list of crazies, creeps and near-idiots:

"The business of America is business" Coolidge
"The economy is sound" Hoover
"I am not a crook" Nixon
"Oops" Ford
"We begin bombing in five minutes" Reagan
"What's that neat scanner thingie" Bush
<"FILL IN YOUR FAVORITE">Bush, Jr.

:+ :kick: :dunce:

QUOTE
Future candidate

Scientists at the Great Ape Trust in Iowa are educating bonobos, a pygmy chimpanzee classified as Pan paniscus and man's closest relative. The super intelligent apes already understand a limited human vocabulary and are being taught language, art and music.

If the research program is successful, some political party could decide to run one for president. The senior advisor, chief political strategist, and mastermind behind the president could insert an earphone in President Bonobo's ear and have it give State of the Union addresses, Mission Accomplished speeches, and exhort the faithful to donate till it hurts. The Planet of the Apes may be nearer than we think.

Bonobos do have one trait humans should consider adopting — they would rather make love than war!

6. I was driving behind a car with one of those fish stickers
on the trunk lid yesterday. But when we stopped at the red light, I noticed he still had his Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers on. So I guess not all Christians are drinking the Kool-Aid.

7. We saw another Kerry sticker
about 3 weeks ago I didn't see throughout the campaign / election.

It said People of Faith for Kerry / Edwards.

In fact, we saw two that day. How odd we didn't see previously.
