why were no reporters aware of this? Were they, but were forbidden to talk/write about it?

1. I'm still waiting for info about this from MSM |
|
I couldn't believe this when I read about it, but the story doesn't seem to have any legs. Info is tough to come by.

" The Defence Secretary said that the U.S. had already begun "spikes of activity" to put pressure on the regime. No decisions had been taken, but he thought the most likely timing in U.S. minds for military action to begin was January, with the timeline beginning 30 days before the U.S. congressional elections."

6. I understand what's in the minutes; that's what led to my |
|
curiosity concerning the media, or decided lack of any real attention being paid to what was going on.

4. I hate to be a 'knew-it-all', but I remember it |
|
I remember rather clearly that we noticed the step-up in bombing during the year before the invasion.
There were posts about it on DU if you can search back that far. Look for 'no fly zone' and such. There were several of these missions that killed Iraqis that I am sure we discussed here on DU back in 2002 - early 2003.
So it was reported in the press, but most of the press ignored it's significance.

5. Yes, I do remember about the no-fly zones being infiltrated, |
|
but as you pointed out, no big deal was made of this activity so I had no clue it was so out of control. The beginning of our dumbing down?
