I just watched Dean's interview with Wolf from earlier today
I fucking can't STAND Wolf Blitzer :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:

Shouldn't he be reporting the news rather than attacking Democrats?

That "interview" was outrageous.

Each and every time Dean is on one of these shows, it's all about "but..but..you said you hate Republicans. Aren't you sorry for saying that?"

And props to Dean for not backing down.

1. Blitzer Has Cried Wolf Far Too Often....
Edited on Fri Jun-03-05 05:59 PM by On Par
Just like you, I can't stand the bastard's hype of everything and anything. Whatever is the most salacious, obvious, and will get the viewers attention for 30 seconds is all the Blizter is about.

Recall when Blitzer went after Begala during the Pope's death as "not being a good Catholic" when Begala named his own son John Paul!

9. I'd love to see Wolf's Bank Statement
I suspect strongly that he has some deposits in common with a few other pundit/talking heads that were talked about not so long ago...

er...oh like maybe Armstrong Williams?

5. whyd ems arent going on media i imagine, as
we democrats criticize them for not going on. why. they go on and all they are is attacked, reinforcing bad and wrong impressions, not a chance to talk or give message. how many people still say kerry had no plan. gave no message. i know better., i heard it. when he did a show, he was never asked about it. never got to talk about it.

why go on the shows

6. found a good story about that issue

Why is it a surprise??

Kevin Drum has expressed puzzlement at why liberals on TV almost always appear overmatched by their conservative counterparts . I'm not sure why this is perplexing to Kevin. The reasons are blindingly obvious.

1. Lack of preparedness: Unlike conservatives who come with their message and talking points honed (with practice) and who usually stick to those talking points regardless of whether they make sense or not, liberals don't usually have consistent talking points - they just seem to show up unprepared (sometimes woefully) to debates. This may be because liberals appearing on TV (or radio), unlike conservatives, don't like the idea of being "coached" on what to say or don't have a VLWC to give them bulletized talking points (or are simply lazy), but the end result is clear. Even Democratic politicians are no exception. Sometimes, they even do a woeful job defending their own colleagues because of their being unprepared or uninformed. (Not to mention, they also display an appalling inability to work together as a team. It's more often I, I, I than We, We, We - that's a clear prescription for failure.)

10. i am sure kerry was quite prepared to discuss
his plan if he were elected as president. i have heard what you are talking about. but thee is other issue with democrats and media. this has nothing to do with being prepared. it has to do with media talking head making sure a democrat isnt allowed to get his message out

12. Dean FORCED his message out
he didn't take any shit from Wolf, and talked over him when he needed to.

I notice he did the same when he was on MTP.

13. He's learned alot this past year. Not to mention that most of us pound the
fact over and over that most of the media is controlled by the GOP.

That's the big reason I supported Dean for chair. I figured he knew by then that the media is NOT on our side. They need to be exposed for their GOP shilling.

18. Actually, Leslie isn't really his name
Edited on Fri Jun-03-05 06:49 PM by CatWoman
"Leslie" was a JOKE that Al Franken made up at a WH Correspondentsdinner early in Clinton's first term? A JOKE.

Blitzer liked the joke, so it isn't an effective way to insult him.

17. Dean almost made Wolf blow his stack
Howard Dean, intimidated Wolf Blitzer tonignt and a couple of weeks ago he intimidated Tim R...he had them agitated, go Howard Dean, he can handle the press better than any one except Ronald Reagan..Dean is exactly what we democrats need, Gore would have won had gotten out and spoken his mind, instead of playing nice to the mods and ind.

21. Like Judy W., Wolf B. Used To Be A Good Journalist
I have to keep thinking back to Bernard Shaw. I found his on-screen presentation bone-dry and opposed the first Gulf War but really liked Bernie and miss him to this day. He got out while the getting was good.
