You have probably learned by now she's tenacious as hell. :)

10 days is nothing. I still had a lot of pain 10 days from my operation and mine wasn't quite as invasive as yours. I'm at nearly 5 weeks post-op and I feel good enough to skip the Vicodin most of the time. I still have some OxyCodone left for emergency pain situations.

Because your pain is no doubt quite severe, liberalnurse, greatauntoftriplets and others will have to make sure the docs are managing it. Docs freak out that you'll get addicted and sometimes don't give you what you need to make it through the pain.

I know you'll make it, Andy. You have a lot of loving folks surrounding you.

Oh, I dropped your name in a letter to my Congressman. I hope you don't mind. I called you a "cyber-friend"...hehe. I was expressing...dismay...at the idea of electronic voting. I'm still not 100% convinced there was fraud in the 2004 election. I was 100% sure the day after the election, but I'm not so sure now. :shrug: But as you've said, having ANY doubts in the electoral process is a bad, bad thing. If we're not sure our votes are counted, the democratic process falls apart. And believe me, I have doubts. Too many hinky things happened before and during this past election. I am doubting...maybe not enough to say for sure the election was stolen, but enough to demand VOTER VERIFIED PAPER BALLOTS!!! (And health care for all) :D

You just take care of yourself for now, OK? :) We totally get it. The operation you endured was pretty invasive. I don't know if it was done laparascopically or not, but regardless, you had some major organs removed. I've heard gall bladder surgery is quite painful and you had more than that done. OUCH!

All you can do is try to listen to your body. It sounds like it's speaking loud and clear right now. :) But as you get better, you may want to overdo it. Trust me. That will set you back.

Good news, Andy. Take your time, but I'm so looking forward to your eventual return.
