Is there a difference between a "democrat" and a "Democrat" ?

It seems to me that one would have more permanent characterisics than the other, which may change from time to time as the political winds blow in different directions. Any ideas on this?

1. democrat=believer in government chosen by the people

as opposed to believing in government by some form of elite, such as a royal family drawn from a titled nobility, or by a collection of rich "old" families sharing power among themselves (but excluding other classes of people) as in the Roman Republic or the Venetian Republic.

Democrat with a capital D means simply a supporter of our party.

Democrat = the bigwigs in the party (congress and the behind-the-scenes power brokers)

in that respect..

any elected official that takes a *Bribe* from a corporation then passes a bill that is not in the interest of the citizens of this country and the world.. should be impeached.

a corporation is not a person, the CEO who has already maxed out his personal contributions uses his clients money, who may have already maxed out their contributions, without consulting them.. the Board of directors have to go along with this in order to keep their paycheck coming in and to guarantee their raises.

the system is a cancer that will destroy this country if not the entire world

5. Which begs the question

tautologically by including or assuming the concept to be defined within the definition. (goes to check their site) You're right they really did that. Dayumm that's dumb.
