THIS WEEK'S GUEST

This week our guest is Tim Robbins, the actor, screenwriter, director
and producer. His acting appearances include Bull Durham, The
Shawshank Redemptionr. He was the writer, director and producer of
Dead Man Walking, for which he earned an Oscar nomination in 1995.
His 2003 appearance in Mystic River won him an Oscar for Best
Supporting Actor. Also in 2003 a 15th-anniversary celebration of Bull
Durham at the National Baseball Hall of Fame was cancelled in protest
at the public anti-war stance of Robbins and his partner Susan
Sarandon.

His latest film, Embedded/Live, tackles the compromised role of the
media during the initial phase of the Iraq War. It is currently
available on DVD to Netflix customers and will be available on a
wider basis later this summer.
