Was Bill Clinton ever interested in becoming a tv host?

I've seen posts at DU that the news articles in 2001 saying Bill Clinton was looking into becoming a tv host were all lies.

But what does the evidence say?

1. I suspect that there were some producers who wanted this

much more than Bill. He probably simply never told them no strongly
enough. I think Bill wants a much more powerful role in the world.
He kind of reminds me of Gorbachev, out of power while still a
relatively young person, and wanting to do more than settle into
a "retirement". If Kofi goes, I expect Bill to lobby to get his
job...

2. Bleh! After he started kissing the Bushes ass I really don't want to...

see his mug on TV preaching Bush propaganda don't get me wrong he's a great man but he's making the wrong choices right now.
