An insurgent bunker big as football fields?

Did anyone else hear this report this morning? That we've found a huge underground bunker big as nine football fields in Iraq?

I hope so, because I've some questions. Like, if we're oh so in control over there, did we just not see them digging?

If it's just a bunch of "dead enders" how did they ever complete the project, let alone make it operational?

And, did Haliburton get this contract, too?

this goes back to the Saddam era.

I remember Georgie Anne Geyer writing about his network of underground bunkers back in the 1980s during the Iran-Iraq war.

He always expected an invasion at some point from "Western" forces and so made lots of preparations such as this so as to do just what the insurgents are doing now--fighting a guerrilla war against an occupation sponsored by the "Zionist entity" as he always called it.

If this complex was from the Saddam era, was it from the era when he was our solution to Communism or when he was our "rogue regime" poster boy?
