SHIA; "rebel".

SUNNI; "insurgent".

When Shia & Kurds arm themselves and slaughter tens of thousands it's an "uprising" of "rebels".

When any government except the US puts down a Shia & Kurd "uprising", it's a "war crime" and "oppression".

When the US puts down a Shia & Kurd "uprising", it's a "Sunni insurgency". "Terrorists" may be used in place of "Sunni".

To make remembering easy;

SUNNI = CLENIS.*

I think every Iraqi who is fighting to end the U.S. occupation is a "freedom fighter." Once America surrenders in Iraq, the Iraqi people can decide how to label each segment of the fighting groups, imho.
