Anti-Gay Group Protests At School
DRACUT, Mass. -- A group of Midwestern protesters continued to cause controversy Monday outside an elementary school in Dracut.

NewsCenter 5's Kelley Tuthill reported that members of the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan., protested against homosexuality outside Boston area churches and graduation ceremonies.

The group was upset about a student's essay about lesbian comedian Ellen DeGeneres.

"Look kids, this is what Bible-thumping morons look like. The genuine article, right here," Dracut, Mass, resident Eddie Dyer said.

1. I hope those Dracut residents
told that Bible beating group to go back where they came from. Protest in your OWN state.

2. Seriously,
do these people have nothing better to do than travel half-way accross the country to protest something writen for school by an elementary student?

Don't they have children to terrorize in their own state?

3. Y'know...
I just have to wonder what these kids' homelife was like growing up in the Phelps household.

Everything seems to center around their crusade. From what I understand, the family all live and worship together on one city block in Topeka. As soon as they're old enough to hold a sign, they're out there. While other kids' families take trips to amusement parks and historical places, they travel only to stand outside a church or a school holding signs. Do you think they even stopped at one or two famous places while in Boston - even if it's to give the kids their own twisted interpretation of history?

"Kids, this is where a fifty foot tall tank ruptured in 1919, sending 2.5 million gallons of molasses flooding through the streets of north Boston, killing 21 people, who were obviously fags or fag-enablers if God chose to smite them with pancake topping."
"Yay for God and his twisted sense of humor, Mommy!"
