The poorer you are, the higher your APR. I was going to apply for a card and nearly had a heart attack when I saw the financing rate.

And these guys are supposed to be on our side?

I'm better off with Capital One.

1. Everyone should be reducing their credit card....
usage or eliminating it altogher, because if something happens to you where you can't afford to pay your bills, the new bankruptcy laws will cripple you further.

We should boycott the credit card companies and the cards issued by banks too...we'll show them who's boss! They are the ones who wanted the bankruptcy laws, let's make them pay for it!

2. Use Credit Cards only for *your* convenience. . .
If you can't afford it right now, don't buy it.Use the card only to avoid carrying cash, or as a temporary measure until you can transfer money into your checking. Never use it with the intent to repay it -- nothing kills your credit quicker than actually using it! And there's nothing worse than stealing from your future so as to pay for your past.

3. "nothing kills your credit quicker"
Using credit cards does not "kill your credit". Using credit cards and not making payments on time does.

One of the better ways to build a decent credit rating is to use a credit card for small purchases and then pay off the full balance each month. No interest and no credit problems.

4. Pro Corporate Bu$h
:smoke:

People need to understand that der fuhrer will not do anything to help the people that the Republibots are taking power away from. Us, the government is for the people, by the people, and of the people. This concept is one that they have been trying to do away with for the past 30 years. The Constitution is being eroded to the benefit of big cooperations and the government.

5. I'm trying to pay down my credit card debt, but it's not easy.
SSI Disability doesn't pay well. :( Sigh.
