1. Well, obviously the SCOTUS don't care!
I must admit, I was surprised by their vote today.

2. The Supremes are just confused
"Medicine by regulation is better than medicine by referendum."

How about you jokers mind your own damn business? What the hell does it have to do with the federal government in the first place?

Oh, yeah, medicine by regulation is SO much better. Vioxx, anyone? How about liver damage from over-the-counter medication like ibuprofen and the like? How about eighty plus years of government lies about the effects of marijuana?

This is just another shot fired in the so-called "War On Drugs" that, in all actuality, is actually a war on the American People. On our liberties, our human rights, and our right of self-determination.

How so? Well, let me ask a question. Has thirty years of the drug war accomplished anything in terms of curtailing drug use?

No.

But, on the other hand, has it provided excellent leverage against the 4th Amendment of the Bill of Rights?

Yep.

'Nuff said.

4. It's ridiculous that we have to have this debate....
when marijuana should be legal for everyone. This country is so fu**ing backwards it's pathetic. These poor people shouldn't have to go through all this!

5. People, schmeople. Big Pharm wants to sell shit that is overpriced and
has nasty side effects. No way the SCOTUS will not do their bidding.

Pot can help so many conditions and so many people, but Big Pharm can't make big bucks competing against it so... Too bad about financial considerations and complications/problems legal drugs cause for people; big campaign contributors have to have THEIR interests protected.

Have always figured mankind has all the necessary elements to make life on earth heaven or hell. Too bad the commercial interests won that contest; hell it is.

7. Let's not forget the other organized crime known as Organized Crime
Traditionally our goodfella's have managed to influence courts to protect their interests and they profit as much from illegal marihuana as the Pharmaceutical Family.

We could not possibly deal a blow to the mob by taking away their source of income.

Oh, and what about all the people in the prison industry? And what about the people IN the industrial prisons? Think of the disastrous effects this would have on the country's unemployment rate.

(I actually read this last argument today in a magazine for people who should know better)

So yes, it is best to keep the status quo intact. Illegal marihuana keeps everybody rich and them colored folks locked up.

9. Organized Crime has morphed into Corporate America
The M.O. is the same but added to the bag of tricks: making sure their bought Congressmen make the laws they want made and unmake what they don't like.

Organized Crime went into 'legit' businesses long ago. Now, most big business is all in the family... And they are running the whole world for profit.

8. Nothing Else has helped my Wife!
(not even "Marinol")

A little pot made her well enough to eat, continue chemo, and LIVE!!
Why do these assholes hate giving aid and comfort to the ill among us?
Do they confuse these people (the ill) with "The Enemy"?

Fuck them - If I go to jail for helping her SO BE IT. My freedom is more important to me than my life, but HER life is more important to me than my freedom.
'Nuff said.

by the way the cartoon below she created on "a good day" when she was able to eat and function...largely due to receiving herbal medication.

She created it for me to help me "express some of my rantings"
