17. Without seeing the numbers this would be my guess.
Say last year the high school in your town had 308 graduates, but only 297 this year. Do we need to look for deep rooted causes for this decline?

3. A significant number of the violent souls in our society...
A significant number of the violent souls in our society are presently
employing their violent tendencies elsewhere in the world than America.

9. There are new numbers that the repubs say abortions are going down
here's a link to the article. Supposedly, new numbers are out confirming this, but I'm not too sure about the source, but this article is what they will reference.

21. I'm sure that is the article all people who have a crush on Bush
will reference. Know your enemies references to properly dispute them.

8. True, any statistical date from the administration is suspect
on it's face. They have a fairly poor record in respect to veracity.

6. just heard someone on TV opine that
America is so medicated, that people no longer have the inclination or the ability to commit crimes. It was a sarcastic comment, but one that has a ring of truth to it!

7. If the rate is accurate and not a "created reality",
It's due to the sad fact the women are not having children they don't want. Yes abortion has caused the lower crime rates. I know it is sad to think about but it is clearly evident in the numbers. See this link for more info: http://ethics.tamucc.edu/article.pl?sid=05/05/03/1445232&mode=thread

15. It also may be because more of the age group that commits
most crimes are out of the country right now. Bet it will rise when everybody's back home. Oh wait...many will never come home and the war will never end. (Bush will be sure of that.) This is just the beginning. No offense to our brave soldiers...but I'm simply going by statistics.
