I'm looking for sources on Opus Dei.

1. They're pretty secretive

so there's not a whole lot out there.

Actually, Newsweek had one of the best articles on them, but you had to read between the lines of what was essentially a puff piece.

Otherwise, Google is your friend. Try Alta Vista and Yahoo, too.

8. they have a lousy reputation...

I asked my mother about them in the late 70's/80's (i cant remember exactly when) and her feeling was that they were an arch-conservative, patriarchal, anti-woman (woman in the kitchen -- I believe were her exact words). And that was over 20 years ago.
