$1000 Reward For Getting Bush to Answer Downing Street Minutes
Submitted by Bob Fertik on May 28, 2005 - 6:50pm.Decision
On Friday we asked the members of Democrats.com to support our campaign to demand a Congressional investigation of Bush's Iraq War lies, as exposed by the Downing Street Minutes.

Thanks to the generosity of our members, we raised nearly $1,000 in one day!

We are therefore offering a REWARD OF $1,000 to anyone who can get George W. Bush to answer this question:

In July 2002, did you and your administration "fix" the intelligence and facts about non-existent Iraqi WMD's and ties to terrorism - which were disputed by U.S. intelligence officials - to sell your decision to invade Iraq to Congress, the American people, and the world - as quoted in the Downing Street Minutes?
Here are the rules:

1. The only reporter with a backbone is Helen.
So the money is probably safe.

2. Um... isn't this sinking to their level?
And if a reporter took this cash, wouldn't they just be the leftwing version of Armstrong Williams?

I'd certainly ask the questions, but I wouldn't take the cash.

4. leftwing version of Armstrong Williams?

...not if they dared ask the question, then took the money and donated it to the little girl who was sprayed with her parent's blood.

5. u miss the point!
this is not about $1000...it is about offering it...and keeping this alive...as well as pointing that reporters are already bought...or refrain..as commanded from asking the question...so as to keep their jobs....so...it will take a whole lot more than $1000 to get someone to risk their job and their career...it is a token offering to make a point.

6. Not at all....
The press corps is completely unreliable and bought by this admin. The only way I can think of to get them to ask a question such as this is by financial motivation. These people are not journalists because they feel an obligation to the public to reveal the truth, they're journalists to receive a paycheck and lie on behalf of this administration. We shouldn't need to pay journalists to do their own damn job, but due to today's sorry state of affairs, we need to.
