We're all about spreading democracy but where have we spread any of it in our 200+ year history?

You tell me!

1. none come to mind.

none that became democracies directly and solely linkable to our interventions.
Reagan worshippers like to claim He single-handedly destroyed communism, Rambo style, but the fact is that other factors held a lot more sway than an octeganarian with enough grease in his hair to lubricate the entire fleet of Delta airlines saying "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!".

an easier list would be to point out those countries where we undermined or destroyed existing democracies: Iran, for one, by installing the shah.

4. I'd rather look at the dictatorships we've upended

after having supported them for years when it was too our benefit.

Other peaceful Democracies we - or rather President Clinton - were crucial in creating.

5. Haiti is in no way a peaceful democracy. It is a brutal dictatorship.

The US under * took out the truly peace loving leaders because they are too left-leaning. Just like we took out Sandino in the 1920s and worked to destroy the Sandanistas in the 1980s and the revolutionary government in Grenanda in 1983. These actions were undertaken by Republicans not by Democrats.

6. We have created the democratic GLOBAL freedom to choose between

Coke & Pepsi, UPS or FedEx, Apple or IBM, Microsoft & Microsoft, with large choices available between McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, or Monsanto or AMD, Pfizer, SmithKline or Merck or the biggest contibutors to the democracy movement Halliburton or Bechtel...

We have a different concept of democracy than dear leader. We all went to civics class and comprehended the concept!
