1. Abercrombie & Fitch: The Devil's Clothier
I was under the impression BJU was a pretty raunchy place. Not any more.

4. I'm saving that for when I have teenagers
I think that's how my mom still thinks people should dress. Except for the sleeves on women thing. I don't think arms are particularly enticing.

5. The fashion police really do exist- they want you to look like dorks
"Avoid cutting-edge fads and cuts so short they take on a masculine look." ..that's nice; the place sounds like a hell-hole.

10. So what you're saying is that in the event .......
I were to hang out in Greenville and pick up a young lady from that school, when she dropped her drawers it's unlikely I'd find any ink on the small of the back or a pierced clit?

Bummer!

14. Holy crap!!! Nice catch
I loved this one:

"Residence hall students may not watch videos above a G rating when visiting homes in town and may not attend movie theaters."

and this one:

"You may not possess or play computer and video games rated T, M, or A or having elements of blood and gore, sensual or demonic themes, or featuring suggestive dress, bad language, or rock music."

Sounds like a wonderful college atmosphere! :puke: :puke: :puke:

23. Did you see they can't even listen to Christian music?
They won't even allow Contemporary Christian music! That place is a fucking cult, and sounds like a place where they beat off to Bush speeches. :puke:

29. "All weapons must be turned in for storage."
Oh sure, no rock music, Abercrombie, TVs, DVD players or PG-rated movies... but it's perfectly OK to bring a GUN.

Did you see their nondiscrimination policy?
What a joke. http://www.bju.edu/admissions/nondiscrim.html

I'm surprised they use the term "liberal arts," I figured they would've found a more "Christly" substitute like "freedom arts" or something. :silly:

15. Why Bob Jones?
If you're starting a Christianist university and naming it after yourself, and your informal initials are a common slang for oral sex, why do you go ahead and name the school "Bob Jones University"? Why not "Robert Jones" at least?

Are Catholics still considered the spawn of the devil? I just ate lunch and didn't dare go too deep into that site to find out.

18. Check out the course catalogue

Bio 100 - General Biology I
An introduction to the fundamental concepts of biology on the cellular level. Topics include the basic chemistry of cells; experimental design and scientific method; a proper Christian philosophy of science; eukaryotic cell structure; cellular transport mechanisms; cell division; basic transmission genetics; the encoding and expression of information in cells. Lecture and lab.
Both semesters and summer, four hours.

Teaching "a proper Christian philosophy of science" and "scientific method" are mutually exclusive. What have they got against prokaryotic cells anyway? Every biology course talks about eukaryotes. Are they just proud that they know that word?

First thing, tomorrow, I will work on my "ease."

I think if I had one wish, it would be that these people never have any influence on myself or my child. I think I'd rather die of multiple puss-leaking skin tumors, than live like that.

25. Their reasoning is fucked...
You can't produce a Godly person by sheltering them from the world. That was not the idea that Christ had in mind. What happens when they get into the world? They have no real defense against anything, and then they rebel like hell.
