Has anyone been watching this chase and standoff
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 05:35 PM by RebelOne
in California? They finally subdued him with a flash grenade and then sent police a dog. Well, I totally cracked up when the flake female anchor said they sent in a "canine" dog to subdue him. So in other words, they sent in a dog dog.

8. I forgive you. But I think she should have used the phrase
"a K-9 police dog," to clarify it for stupid people like me.

3. That could be it, but I really found it funny when it seemed
like she meant a canine dog.

7. An observation:
I just watched a week of TV after approx. 4 years of not watching. I started on Mem. Day Weekend with the blood and guts movie orgy. Endless fawning over death and destruction. Exit wounds as the object of fetishism. Milatarism akimbo and shameless. The coverage of those dead and mutilated beautiful men and women, both American and Iraqi, was especially heartbreaking.

I also watched the news.

One thing I noticed was that the average person who excites electrons on Tv is terminally vapid. Mindless. Droning. Pathetic. Just broken toys, without a lick of apparent honesty. Certainly no apparent intellectual honesty.

It is sad that a country that could come up with a Trout, a Murrow or a Cronkite(bless that man) cannot come up with more than a Bill Hemmer or Monica Crowley.

The three aforementioned worthies had gravitas.

The last two have good tailors and plastic surgeons.
