Who would vote for Hilary Clinton in the primaries (if she ran)?

I think I would--though for the primaries its a tough call because I already have two favorites.

A similar question was posed to democrats on C-SPAN's Washington Journal and I was surprised at the hostile and rude comments geared towards Clinton from people who claimed to be Democrats.

Who here would support her if she ran?

I like her but don't think this is the right year for her. She is too polarizing. At the outset she starts out with high negatives. Around 40-45% of the electorate will not vote for her under any circumstances. I would vote for her in a general election but I have mixed feelings about her in the primaries.

I don't think this is her time. I'd love to see her be President but I don't want to see Bush beat her and she just doesn't have enough experience and still has too much baggage to do it now. Give her some time in the Senate....where she is doing a great job.

intrested in the party winning she will bow out of both the primary and running on the ticket. Hoping she will be smart, (I think she is) and put all this to rest and say: "Not intrested in running for President as I said earlier and will decline to serve as a VP on the Party's ticket in November". She spells it with two "Ls" by the way. I think this Hillary running for President nonsense is a right wing wet dream and nothing more. Media keeps floating it because they want it to happen, to help their man-Bbush. I want swing votes, not more polarization. I want Republicans to come over to our side. I want to crush the neocons into dust and see their movment become a bad memory. I want blue states all over the map and a humiliating defeat for Bush. I don't want someone with all that baggage in the race no matter how popular she is with Democratic women, in theory. Plus, she's my senator, she said she would see out her term and despite what her husband said, I would not want to release her from that. We need every senate seat we can get and putting one into play prematurely is not a very good idea, IMHO.

It takes a heap to depress me, but today's tv sure did. Bill wants Hill to run. NYers would release her from her commitment. Polls show her far and away the most popular Dem "candidate."
I'd be thrilled to see her become President.

Part of my unhappiness here is the 9 declared candidates. I'm for Kerry---mainly because I think he has the best chance of winning. But none of them fire me up like Gore did in '88 and '00.
I want to see it settled, see the Dems get behind one candidate. I know that will come, but meanwhile, it's painful. I don't trust Clark at all, I believe Hillary means what she says, Gore won't change his mind, and Dean looks like the grinning face on the Kool-Aid pitcher. I've seen Dems stampede over the cliff after candidates who couldn't effectively handle the R opposition, or didn't realize what they were dealing with. We've got a shot at winning, yet so far, we don't have much to campaign about except the incumbent's wretched performance, and that just isn't enough. We have to offer experience and leadership AND some positive direction AND enough charisma to set the voters afire. When will that begin?
Hillary Clinton could do it. Al Gore could do it. And they're not in the ring. :(
