1. Plenty- I know the Japanese for one don't like what we are doing.

When they are taking pics around town, you see lots making the peace sign.

If we buy Chinese light bulbs in this country, then who would we sell light bulbs to?

I read where some Arab country started making a cola drink that killed Coca-cola sales.

America as a travel destination is down too.

4. From what I've seen

From Brazilians at least is a sort of wonderment, puzzlement, and disappointment. It started with BlowJobGate. They could not understand why anyone in America could be so cravenly rude as to pry into a person's private consensual sex life and try to run him out of the government for it. They were amazed and astounded that so many Americans could be that way.

Our reaction to 9/11 has them shaking their heads, watching in sadness as the administration wrecks the country with exhorbitant expenditures on IraqNam, torture stuff, Patriot Act, and they are stunned and sad. Frankly, they see us as 'in the past'...what americans used to be. They actually for the most part admired and liked americans. Now they see us as a country going down the tubes.

5. In Hong Kong people might boycott for a day if they got really excited.

But then, when whatever really got them mad was off the front page, they'd go back to their routine.

You're right, though. There was a lot of boycott noise in 2003, particularly in the Middle East, but you don't hear much about it any more.
