2. Some people may be watching this and saying "What Protests?"
The protests got so little coverage that this Nightline show may be the first many will hear that protests even occurred.

6. I've tried telling
Edited on Tue Jun-07-05 10:58 PM by FreedomAngel82
people that half the city protested against Bush and the neocons holding their convention there and I always get the response like: "so what?" Like their opinion doesn't matter. But I damn well bet you if it was the other way around they'd be screaming too.

7. I understand, in Houston we had what I call the Battle of Halliburton,
when we protested the stockholders meeting, we had a taste of what the New York protesters faced.

In fact I was talking to someone I hadn't seen for a long time who had been in New York for the protest, she didn't get arrested but did get hurt.

Nobody can understand what it is like to be in a protest where the police go crazy, unless you have been there.

I got into it with family members who didn't get it, surely we must have done something to cause it. They don't have a clue.

3. Oh, you mean the dozens of abandoned prosecutions and sentences?
Thanks to the abundance of video evidence in the hands of participants in the protests? That story?

Not to worry, ChimpCo - Nightline will go away soon, just like Now and all those other pesky investigative shows.
