1. I thought he said only that he'd raise the issue.
Whether it would be raised in a speech, that I haven't heard.

Because Faux is really pumping that Kerry got four D's at college.

Then again Faux is also pumping that, the only reason Britain is helping Africa is because of the oil there, they didnt mention Iraq though.

15. Doesn't anyone find the "timing" of Kerry's low college grade story
curious in light of his recent stated intent to speak up about the DSM?

16. Exactly what I was thinking!
I thought the timing on that story was VERY convenient for certain people. And sure enough, some freeper posted a note about it on another discussion board. My comment: "Red herring alert!"

2. I think we need to call the office some
www.senate.gov

Plug in his name. Give him a call.

He said he will, and I believe him. But what we don't know is when. He's having breakfast with Blair and the other folks on the Foreign Relations Committee. Feingold will ask Blair about the DSM. Kerry will also be there. We shall see what comes of it.

Now that I think about it, Feingold is my Senator. I should call and give him props tomorrow.

4. Question About The Breakfast
Sorry if this is a dumb question but do you think they will air any footage from that breakfast?

8. Hmm. It would be nice. On CSpan maybe?
I won't expect the MSM to do more than photo op stuff if anything.

But something tells me it will be relatively private. The one with the president of Palestine was.

3. My question exactly? It's great Kennedy spoke up, but JK said he WOULD.
It'll please all the nay-sayer's if now he doesn't.

7. " I actually said I would speak about the DSM before I decided not to"
No surrender-yeah right here we go again. I belive he said on Friday that he would address the subject on Monday which is now two days AGO.

9. He said he would address the subject. on Monday
when he got back into Washington. It turned out that he didn't for whatever reason get back into town that day.

He didn't say how he would address the subject when he got back into town. Just that he would. RW media sort of went nuts from there, saying he was going to call for Bush's impeachment. Somehow I don't think he expected the amount publicity, considering his comment was in a small Massachusetts newspaper. I wouldn't blame him if he were now being careful about when and how he brings this up.

Someone in his office later said he would indeed be giving a Senate floor speech. I believe that he will. We're waiting to hear the time frame. I suspect when he found out he'd be having breakfast with Blair, he wanted to see what the man had to say. I expect that breakfast to be quite interesting, what with Feingold and Kerry both being there. If only Kennedy was on that committee too, it would be perfect.

Meanwhile, it's so nice to see that you found a flavor of koolade you liked. I would still advise that it's not exactly wholesome stuff.

Did you support Sen. Kerry during the election, may I ask?

13. Kerry may be the real president, but he needs to stop being aloof.
To win against tyranny, one has to gain back not only all their integrity but also their powerful speaking ability.

Kerry has allowed them to murder him into submission and exile on top of that, he needs to stand as firm as he did against Senator Frist. Raise the issue, not just raise it, but blaze an entire trail to make the issue discussed in the Senate.

10. I hope he will discuss it soon...
but the boat is beginning to leave the harbor, so he needs to get to it! I am really looking forward to him, hopefully giving it the kind of eloquence and passion, that he gave to the senate committee regarding Vietnam in 1970(?).

17. well, for better or worse
the way this is panning out, the possibility of a Kerry speech is getting a build up and a raising of expectations. Maybe that's what he wanted to happen? He's too experienced in politics to just do something at random. Unless something unexpected really came up--like new information or some question that needed to be answered.
