I don't always agree with Al Franken ... but
He does a great impression of Rush Limbaugh. Actually it's getting better. He just made me laugh so hard when he did it for Johnathan Alter today.

Thanks Al for the laugh. He should do it for an entire seg of his show.

1. Al's on fire today, I think it's the cameras really spur him.
Can't wait to see the Sundance show tonight! (I like his Strom impression even more.)

It's irony on a base level and hypocrisy as well.

4. One of Al's best segments was a few months ago.
He was interviewing this guy who does a one man show in San Francisco parodying Limbaugh called "Rush Limbaugh in Night School." You should check out the link:

Al and this playwright were sharing their Rush impersonations with each other -- you kind of had to hear it. In any event, he definitely spends time perfecting it.

5. Thanks for the link abernste
Good stuff. The visuals would probably make it more funny. When Limbaugh had his television show, he'd always pound on the desk, as if this would magically transform what he said as true. It always appeared to me to resemble Hitler on Vicodin or OxyContin. Ironic, isn't it? He also use to have a segment in the show where he would approach and engage the audience. He had a cordless microphone, but he never used it. He just held it at his side. He was such an obvious phallic prop.

6. He did Nixon yesterday.
It was funny on Sundance, because he was holding Joshua Marshall's toy poodle, Simon. :)
