NYT & WP public editors on Newshour tonight - must watch

Conversation: Writing Wrongs

Media Correspondent Terence Smith sits down with ombudsmen Daniel Okrent of the New York Times and Michael Getler of the Washington Post to discuss the public’s perception of the media.

Watch them wriggle to explain their papers' actions with respect to DSM. (Getler is the good guy, having chided the WP for lack of coverage; Okrent is the media whore, even denying Guckert is a shill).

Edited on Wed Jun-08-05 08:14 PM by Just Me
Maybe, just maybe, their putrid push of "values" for profit will bite them hard enough in the arse to actually force them to consider WHAT they value. I doubt it!!! HOs!!!!

5. These guys STILL don't get it
We are Pissed off that We (DEMOCRATS) suffered though the Bill Clinton 8 YEARS, with the MSM Creating and Echoing Bogus Scandals about one of the Greatest 20th Century, U.S. Presidents, but then, January 20, 2001 someone flipped a switch, and now the MSM has to be dragged, kicking and screaming into report anything on the Worst U.S. President EVER!:banghead:

7. totally, exactly correct!
It just stuns me to compare the way the MSM did an instant 180 on the Fascists once they began their run to power in 1999, refusing ALL attempts to get them to cover even one single instance of *'s corruption, cowardice, mendacity, dissipation, etc.

For anyone to labor under the misconception that either the Times or the Post is 'liberal' demonstrates the FACT that they didn't read the coverage by the likes of Jeff Gerth or Susan Schmidt, starting even before WJC took office.

It would be nice if people could live in the real world long enough to realize what a complete tool of the Fascists that the entire MSM media have become, starting with Reagan.....Carter, actually.

That's when William Simon etal started their campaign to manufacture "think tanks" like the AEI, Heritage Foundation, etc., and tar the media with the biggest lie of the 20/21st Century.

8. What happened to www.bradblog.com?
I can't start up my own thread (yet), but will get there some day (I read here more than I post)

So pardon me for adding something that doesn't exactly match this particular thread, but what the heck happened to www.bradblog.com???

I'm getting a 'Not Found' I'm worried his site has been hacked. There has been a lot of that going on in the last couple of weeks, where liberal sites are geting destroyed.
