Why do the GOP fuss over being called the White Christian party when
they love to say they are the party of morals and values. Aren't they saying the same thing anyway?

1. It's all about image
think back to the 2004 GOP convention. There was a huge differance from what they presented on the podium than what was happening in the seats and back rooms.

2. That's what I can't understand.
Why would they feel insulted when they boast about being Republican because they are Christian, and Christian Republican people have told my daughter that she wasn't a real Christian because she was a Democrat. Why would they be so upset that Dean made a true statement that they often brag about?

Haven't a lot of Republican leaders also been mentioned saying that Democrats don't work and are lazy? Didn't Frist or Delay say that? I've heard regular Republican acquaintances tell me that.

I just don't get it!!!!!

3. The image is to protect the middle ground
Dean is correct about the real base, but the GOP does not that secure base well known. They want the "tent" as "big" as they can get.

5. It's a knee-jerk opposition.
Whatever we say about them must be inherently bad, even if they had previously been all but celebrating it.

Next, Dean should accuse them of eating pancakes for breakfast, and we can watch them fall all over themselves explaining how they have always loved waffles!

6. Sing it GPV!!! Time to be blunt and bring them down. I don't know
if Dean is deliberately breaking away from Dem leadership ideals...but I love it! It's why he should have been our nominee. He is the quintessential little boy looking at the king!!!
