Could someone give me an example of a post that gets banned from the board

I always see "MESSAGE REMOVED." I never get to see what those peon freepers say before it gets removed.

I don't even remember what the discussion was about but the mods are in charge and they can do what they want as far as I'm concerned.

Some of us have our messages removed eventually. If you attack another DUer or call them a freeper or newbie. Or talk about sex.:-)

It can be something inflammatory (doesn't have to be extreme, just to cause a ruckus), counter-productive, name-calling, playground behaviour etc.

This is a well-moderated site and I appreciate that. I've seen sites with 1/70th the members go apeshit and no one will do a single thing to raise the level of discourse or the value of the thoughts exchanged.

Didn't last long, but a few people were very, very upset with me because I did not agree with them that HST was a genius writer right up to the end.

Because, you know, posting an example of a removed post would immediately get removed.

You could read the rules. Just an idea. Most of it is common sense.

I've had posts removed, always when I've gotten a little hot under the collar and said things that would likely get me punched in the nose in the face-to-face meeting.

There was a no more Mr. nice guy who I thought was weird and later got banned (made me feel guilty for not reporting him his post #6 - when I blocked him).

I think on the home page there is a mail bag of people who have been kicked off and write letters to Skinner. One look and it will tell you how lucky we are to have the rules we do.

It is all pretty clean discussion here. And much appreciated. We get to deal with meat that way. And freepers are very much discouraged.

24. Related ?, How do you know someone is banned?

I have heard that people are, but I don't see where there is any designation to see it. I am probably missing it. Most boards I've been on it's under the users name.

Usually members have a status like "new user", "veteran user" or whatever and if they are banned the status changes to "banned" or maybe "suspended" if it's a temporary thing. Is there such an indicator somewhere here?

(Obviously a newbie kinda question - sorry)
