Lieberman, the turncoat, at it again.
Apparently, he's going to tell Dean that he expects him to apologize for his remarks. He really is more republican than democratic.

5. I'm sorry.
They're quoting him from a newspaper article on the Washington journal this morning.

17. I just called
Told him that me, and thousands of other democrats, will be actively campaigning against him if he chooses to promote the Republican Talking points rather than support his own party.

I left my name and addy, cuz his message promised to send me a response. I can't wait to see the lame form letter on THIS one!

Including the original quote which I find to be quite accurate...

"They're a pretty monolithic party," he said Monday. "They pretty much all behave the same, and they all look the same. It's pretty much a white Christian party."

Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut -- who like Mr. Dean sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004 -- said he doesn't think he will be the only one to recommend an apology when the chairman meets for lunch today with Senate Democrats.

"I thought the comment that he made about the Republican Party being a white, Christian party was just way over the top," Mr. Lieberman said. "It was divisive and wrong, and I hope he apologizes for it."

I see Obama also chimed in. Something to keep in mind should he have future, larger ambitions.

7. Dean needs to fall back on the old HST quote
"If republicans will stop telling lies about us, I will stop telling the truth about them"!

9. Or Dean could just issue an apology
"I'm sorry the republicans all look the same and behave the same."

And sorry that about 50% of the democrats in Washington are about as sorry as the sorry republicans and their sorry excuse for a pResident!

10. Apology? No. But...
...Dean needs to be more precise and concentrate his critique solely on the present leadership figures of the Republican Party rather than on the ordinary voters who went Republican in the last few elections.

I would add they all pretty much sound the same.

...but I dispute the usefulness of further alienating any block of voters. If he intends to just write off white Christians, the Democrats can expect to keep losing the White House.

This is a guy who on one hand says Democrats need to start fighting for the "confederate flag on his pickup guy" vote, and on the other starts talking about white Christians. He's only validating their preferences. Getting personal about the "looks" and "behaviour" of people, at least some of whom you'll need to win over, seems short-sighted.

He needs to not mince words about the Bush administration, the Republican Senate, and their policies, and hopefully squeeze in something about why Democrats offer a better alternative. There's plenty to talk about that.
