Letter to John Gibson (FauxNews)

Gibson is off on another anti-Jimmy Carter rant, asking why on Earth anyone should listen to anything Carter has to say. I sent him the following:
Why should we listen to Jimmy Carter? Perhaps I can enlighten you. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, a former nuclear submarine officer, a former President of the United States, a world-renowned humanitarian, and a Nobel Peace Prize winner. You, on the other hand, are a near-sighted, partisan hack, with teeth best suited to gnawing down small trees; who happens to be employed by a "News" channel which is widely recognized as nothing more than the punch line to a joke. Hope I was able to clear that up for you.

And the best part, we got a letter from Nielsen that we were chosen to be a Nielsen family documenting everything we watch.
One thing that will not show up on there is any CABLE NEWS networks.

They missed the signs when OPEC cut production the first time. They missed the signs when the yen strengthened. They instituted wage and price controls to stop inflation when everyone with an ounce of economic sense knew that would only work if we stopped all imports and exports. Instead, it had the effect of making inflation worse as it precipitated a trade war.

Everything that went wrong economically was, indeed, the fault of the mishandling of fiscal and monetary policy during the period 1970 - 1976.
