2. Closing Gitmo doesn't mean the detainees will be let loose...

Amnesty and other sources are fully aware of other secret facilities around the world where worse attrocities may be happening. To close Gitmo could be a death sentence to many of the current Gitmo detainees.

3. I just don't see how anyone reads this as a concession of any kind

from Bush on Guantanamo. He doesn't say anything vaguely resembling what it's been out to be.
