Fliers are great, but how about one on newsprint to fold around newspapers stacked in the coin-operated dispensers? Just get to the box right after it's filled and slide onto each paper and voi-la page one news.
Throw in the PNAC connection while your at it.

1. I want people to think about a chain letter... |
|
Make it like the email tool that was built durring the work in the election thread.
It would be even better if a Conyers letter was forwarded from americans to americans. As sort of like a heads up.

6. Pirate, this is a good idea. I get Repuke chain letters that are 100% |
|
lies all the time.
We should organize an information campaign and launch at the same time.

3. Recommended- Real news in a newspaper |
|
What a smiley thought and a great idea. Just think of the publicity that could come when the first guy is prosecuted.
It is time for all good people to do something for their country, even if it is "wrong."

5. Exactly... if it is done in a choreographed way |
|
not only do a bunch of people get the news in their morning paper, but it hits the evening news as well

8. You know people could just take out an add |
|
You know the local free papers that are supported only with advertising and have only a little news. It might be more cost effective just to take out a small ad on the DSM with some Internet links.
But for the NYT, WP and the like I still like your idea.

4. You CAN do that....BUT... |
|
you'd better make friggin' sure you don't get caught. Some rightwingers at my old university got in some serious trouble for putting an anti-abortion flyer folded in with all our student/campus newspapers one day. I forget what the "charge" was, or the punishment, but they didn't get away with it.
I would imagine that the paper would consider that illegal because you didn't pay for the advertising. Most people who want a flyer of some sort included with a newspaper have to pay for that service.

7. I am sure it would be frowned upon. But it definitely isn't advertising |
|
it's the news they refuse to cover
