Anybody else think Colin Powell's lying appearance on DS is galvanizing
further fury over the DSM.

I do.

Thanks Colin. DSM is getting thousands of hits a minute now. I think you helped our cause. Oops.

1. The whole purpose of that visit was to smooth over those 'rumors'.

Colin came across as a true neocon player, I always thought he was a reluctant player.

2. Yes, I understand that was their purpose. I'm saying that perhaps his
appearance had the unintended consequence of encouraging the grassroots and even moderates who watched it to look into the DSM and sign the letter. Sometimes people get really angry when someone is just blatantly lying and rewriting history and expecting to be respected regardless.

I think Colin accidently gave the story a bit more legs.

3. Kinda of like what Dick Cheney did during the debates when
he mentioned that website (can't think of it right now).

6. factcheck.com...
only he really ment factcheck.org. The funny part was factcheck.com was an anti-Bush site bought by George Sorros... so every Bushie who followed Cheney's advice to visit was met with an anti-chimp message.

7. .org is also Anti-W, though The Penguin appears to be too stupid to
know that. Go wear a knit cap, trail shoes, and big puffy windbreaker at Auschwitz, Cheney!

5. I wonder if Jon is through with him quite yet.
I thought they must be desperate to roll out that fossil.

8. I find him repulsive.
There was a time I thought he deserved a degree of respect. Then I took a closer look at him, and in the past decade, I have not found a single thing he has done to be honorable. What a bitter disappointment he is.
